There are two excellent courses in Tobago, Mt. Irvine and Tobago Plantations, where you can play a relaxed round surrounded by palm trees, wildlife and the sea.
Mount Irvine Bay Golf Club
The house favorite, and voted the Caribbean Golf Resort of 1994, Mount Irvine is a 18 hole course with every hole as picturesque as the last, especially as you tee off towards the beach on the 18th. Perhaps better suited than the Plantations course to those whose enjoyment of playing exceeds their ability, you can rent full sets of clubs, buggies and be accompanied by a house pro. You can even have lunch brought to you if you wish!
Tobago Plantations Golf & Country Club
This is better suited to the more experienced golfer, this links course was PGA designed by British designers Bob Hunt and Marcus Blackburn to championship standard. Lying adjacent to the Atlantic coast, the 72-par course incorporates three par 5 holes, a driving range to warm up on and all the club, buggy and pro requirements you need.
